Experience the heat, fun and excitement of glassblowing yourself!

Maximum students per session are 2 so the teaching and hands on experience is intensive and you will get a lot out of the lesson. You will come away with something you have actually made too!

After a short safety talk the first thing you will do is to gather the hot glass from the furnace and learn how to control and shape the glass, Malcolm will demonstrate first and then you will have a go.

Most students will be able to complete one or maybe two pieces during the morning and two more in the afternoon, although there is no guarantee. In the beginning, success depends a lot on luck and a little on your abilities.

You are guaranteed to have fun and experience the excitement of hot molten glass which is what attracted Malcolm to it in the first place.

Anything you make you can of course keep but it has to cool down overnight so you will have to collect it the following day or it can be posted at cost.

Drinks are provided during the session and if you are attending for the whole day then a simple lunch is included, home made soup with bread, cheese and fruit.

Sorry but we can't teach anyone under 16.

We may be able to arrange a Monday lesson.
